Paired Texts

We are building our paired text sets in our literacy library. Currently we have:

• sets of paired passages with trade books (6 copies) for each grade level (purple Tubs)

• sets of children's books paired together that have the same theme (6 copies of each book for small group work) in yellow and green boxes

I have modeled paired texts using a comparison T-chart. Just click on the bold link to access this chart. This can be used with all paired text lessons and teachers can choose the categories to compare: characters, setting, theme, plot, etc
