This is Miss Evans' second year with Sandusky City Schools. During his time with SCS she has served grade levels K-6 and currently at Sandusky Primary School as the sole School Counselor. She earned her Bachelors Degree from Bowling Green State University in 2017 with a major in Social Work. Then, Miss Evans continued her education earning her Masters of Education in School Counseling in 2019. Before joining the Sandusky City Schools faculty, Miss Evans was an intern for a year at Edison Local School District, she also worked at Elmwood Local Schools as a Drug Prevention Specialist. Miss Evans has also help a position as a therapist at Firelands Counseling and Recovery Services of Erie County. Miss Evans enjoys playing games with students and teaching them about important social/emotional and self-regulation strategies while challenging their unhelpful thinking. As a school counselor, she is focused on four areas, academic, personal, social/emotional learning, and career needs. She provides counseling services in 3 different ways: classroom counseling, small group counseling, and individual counseling with all students at Sandusky Primary School.
