Learning Management System: Students will use Google Classroom for most assignments. A class code will be provided.
Technology / Materials Requirement: Students should report to class everyday with a fully charged Chromebook. This course will remain as paperless as possible and most assignments will be given and returned digitally via Google Classroom. Students should also have a notebook (a small three-ring binder with dividers and paper) and pencils/pens for activities or assignments that cannot be completed electronically.
Teaching Strategies: In this course, a variety of teaching strategies, methods, and tools will be used in order to best prepare students for good citizenship. The instructor will utilize a combination of lectures, reading assignments, textbook assignments, computer technology, video presentations, student projects, discussions, and “real-life” scenarios in order to aid students in understanding World Geography.
Grading System: Everything is graded 0-100. Mini Quizzes are added together to give you one grade each unit. Quizzes are worth a total possible 100 points and tests are worth 100 points. However tests will be put in the grade book 2 times to make them worth more of your grade.
