Is it Art? Is it Food?

# 2

Artifact Decription

Continue with the theme of art or food. This slide deck has audio recordings on the beginning slides, making the task more independent for students. Students will talk and write about food sculptures with graphic organizers as a tool for directing thinking and writing. There is also information about the Italian artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo.

Reflection

While most of the teaching I do is directly with students, whether face-to-face or virtually, I thought it would benefit some teaching and learning settings for the tasks to be independent. I recorded some notes on the beginning slides.

Extra: If you have never used Book Creator, here is an example of the same slide deck in that format. Teachers could use this to introduce the task, or create and share a template so that students can write on their own pages or collaborate as small groups.
