BOOK CREATOR EXTENSIONS

Artifact Description

The Book Creator program allows for exhibiting written work, and students can embellish their pages through design.

On this page are:

  1. two book formats that I made with writing prompts to talk about summer activities,

  2. an example of a book I made in Finnish, when I had to present a news story to my University of Minnesota class, and

  3. a news story lesson plan about a puppy, a narwhal, and a unicorn

  4. a presentation to Administrators and decision-makers about English Leaners services through the St. Croix River Education District.

Reflection

Make sure the student's name and date is on the Google Slide of written work before taking a screen shot.

For tracking purposes, and ease in locating a student's slide, establish a set of background and text colors for each one. This should be done prior to taking the screen shot.

Upload to the student's page.

Review this prior to the next lesson so that as a teacher you remember what the student produced.

As appropriate, share with the student before continuing so they have a sense of what they have done, and what still needs work.

Ask the student to add design elements to the page.
