Artifact Description

This slide deck continues the question, "Is it art? Is it food?" and focuses on fruits or vegetables sculptures, with the possibility to learn more about the Italian artist Arcimboldo. Perhaps a second language teacher could create a collaboration with an art or music teacher because there is some art making included; also the song "Aiken Drum" is included as part of the warm up. Students will talk and write about food art, and can work on their own original images. This could become a pre-writing task leading up to learning about characters in a story.
