Pay off your parking tickets by performing community service here at SCRAP!

SFMTA's Community service program allows people with parking tickets and transit citations to work off their payment at local non-profits through volunteering.

For further information about the program please visit this link: www.sfmta.com/getting-around/drive-park/citations/community-service-program

Once you are enrolled, email us at volunteer@scrap-sf.org to get scheduled for your first shift of community service at SCRAP!

How Do I Sign Up to Volunteer at SCRAP?

1. Drop by SCRAP
The first step is to to come in to SCRAP so we can meet you! The best way to get a feel of what it's like to volunteer with us is to visit our depot and speak to our staff. Our hours of operation are Tuesday - Sunday, 10am - 6pm.  For scheduling, please contact volunteer@scrap.sf.org .

2. Get scheduled
We will contact you to setup your first volunteer day. We have shifts available Tuesday - Sunday 10 AM - 6 PM.  We recommend volunteering a minimum shift of 3 hours to best familiarize yourself with SCRAP.

3. Come in for your first shift and have fun!

Upon arrival you'll be set up with a contact release form and a volunteer badge. We also ask that each day you volunteer you fill out our sign-in sheet for our record. Happy volunteering!

Are there SCRAP Volunteer Opportunities for Groups or Teams?

Yes! SCRAP is a great place to bring a team to engage in meaningful, hands-on work that truly benefits the community. Teams can engage in projects such as sorting and organizing materials, making improvements to the depot or special projects developed with your organization's unique set of skills or interests in mind.

In the past, teams have also engaged in creative team - building challenges using materials in the depot. Group bonding experiences would be developed and coordinated by your team's facilitator, with access to SCRAP's workshop space and depot materials.

Group volunteering experiences take a lot of organizing and planning. We suggest a $50-$100 donation per head. All funds go to support our arts education programming in the South East part of San Francisco.

This could be you and your team!
