SCPA 2025 Rating Requirements
Beginners enter the Club with a 2.5 rating and will be asked to provide confirmation of their assessed level. New members will be informed of options to take beginner/introductory courses to move them to a level 2.5.
New Members self rating at a level higher than 2.5 are asked to provide confirmation of their assessed level.
Assessments are offered to the 2.0 members to move to a 2.5 rating to adhere to new club policy.
For a member to move to a rating higher than 2.5 it requires that they complete an assessment with a recognized assessor and give a copy of the same to the Club once they wish to move to that level. As a management issue, the Club will no longer be storing and maintaining assessments for those people who choose to stay at a lower level.
Ratings provide a means to compare the skill levels of competitors. They may be used to determine a player’s skill level for tournament entry, specific club play (leagues, ladders, skill level brackets) where, for example, there are separate courts for different skill levels. Sanctioned Tournament Ratings (DUPR) with a minimum of 10 games played in the preceding 12 months.
IPTPA Assessments conducted by a recognized IPTPA Professional
DUPR Rating with a minimum of 30 games played in the preceding 6month period
