SCPA 2025 Rating Requirements
Beginners enter the Club with a 2.5 rating and will be asked to provide confirmation of their assessed level. New members will be informed of options to take beginner/introductory courses to move them to a level 2.5.
New Members self rating at a level higher than 2.5 are asked to provide confirmation of their assessed level.
Assessments are offered to the 2.0 members to move to a 2.5 rating to adhere to new club policy.
For a member to move to a rating higher than 2.5 it requires that they complete an assessment with a recognized assessor and give a copy of the same to the Club once they wish to move to that level. As a management issue, the Club will no longer be storing and maintaining assessments for those people who choose to stay at a lower level.
A member can also participate in league play (Pickleball Brackets), at their level and once they hit a rating .25 above the level of that league play and maintain that increase for more than 4 weeks, a recommendation will be put to the Board for them to move to the next level. Similarly, should they drop more than .25 below their level for more than 4 weeks, they will be moved down to the next level.
