Cub Scouting is fun for the whole family. Getting everyone involved makes the experience more meaningful for your Cub Scout. There is a place for every parent, legal guardian, or other caring adults who want to help. Often the challenge is not knowing how to help.
A committee position is a great way to get the most of the experience!
This is our liaison to the council. They maintain a close relationship with the chartered organization (the Church), having ongoing conversations to cultivate harmonious relations.
Help the pack committee and Cubmaster establish a pack budget plan.
Collect dues from Cub Scout and Webelos den leaders (via Pack PayPal account)
Keep up-to-date financial records and credit each Cub Scout with payment of dues.
Have a working knowledge of the Cub Scout and Webelos Scout advancement plans.
Help plan and conduct induction and advancement recognition ceremonies, including ordering awards for ceremonies.
Prepare re-registration papers and an annual report to the chartered organization. Secure signatures and registration fees for the coming year.
Ask the chartered organization representative to submit a charter application and annual report to the chartered organization for approval.
At least a month before charter expiration, also arrange for the annual membership inventory, a uniform inspection, and the annual charter review meeting.
Assist the Cubmaster and chartered organization representative in planning and conducting the formal charter presentation.
