Wed, Aug 26: Read C12 Section 4, "Sources of Sound; Vibrating Strings", pp. 329-334; Problems 25 & 27.
Thu, Aug 27: Read C12 Section 4 Continued, "Air Columns"; Problems 33, 34, 37 & 38.
Fri, Aug 28: Read C12 Sections 5 & 6, "Quality of Sound and Superposition of Musical Instruments", pp. 334-337; Problems 39, 41 & 42.

Th, August 6: Read Course Syllabus and return Signature Page. Obtain a graphing lab composition notebook as found on above link. Read Chapter 11 in Physics text on Vibrations and Waves only sections 1 & 2, "Simple Harmonic Motion" and "Energy in the Simple Harmonic Oscillator", pp.286-291; Problem 1 on pg. 317.
Fri, August 7: Have Student Safety Lab Contract signed and returned by Monday. Read C11, Section 3, "The Period and Sinusoidal Nature of SHM", pp. 292-295, Problems 2, 5, 9 & 13 pg. 317.
