Q1 Week 1 - Aug 3 - 4

August 3: Read and sign syllabus. Gather supplies due 8.7

Today in class: I passed out the syllabus, a handout called Elements of Art, and a 3-page packet with a drawing of an Elephant and drawing grids. Be sure you bring it back to class (I have more if you need one).  We talked about some drawing and methods and ways of using a pencil - we'll be drawing tomorrow! 

                        

August 4: Read and sign syllabus. Gather supplies due 8.7

Today we'll be preparing your sketchbooks by gluing in notes and homework. I'll be going over the four "drawing steps" and other tips to get started on Hansken the Elephant. Additionally we will go over the Elements of Art handout. 

Remember: all supplies and the signed syllabus are due Monday 8/7

Take a look ahead at the picture of a piglet by Hans Hoffman - we'll be using it in class all next week.

We will be looking at presentation and guided discussion of the Elements of art. Begin working on the piglet

We are going to on texture and mark making today so we can finish up hansken.

Continue working on Hansken, begin steps for the piglet, continue power point presentation.
