My name is Ryan Carpenter. I attended Volunteer High School where I was in the bands for four years. It was during these four years that I decided I wanted to major in music education. After graduation, I continued my education at Tennessee Technological University where I spent the next four and a half years studying music education and other related classes in their music department. During my stay, I performed in the Golden Eagle Marching Band, Golden Eagle Pep Band, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Concert Choir, Troubadours, Trouveres, Bryan Symphony Orchestra, University Orchestra, and Trumpet Ensemble. In 2005 I was a founding father for the Lambda Rho chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi which is a national band fraternity whose purpose was to serve the university band programs.
Upon Graduation, I started my teaching career in the fall of 2010 as the general music teacher at Carters Valley Elementary School in Hawkins County. In 2011 I became the director at Twin Springs High School where I am currently teaching.
