about me...

Hello! My name is Allyn Russell! I am serving Scottsboro High School as an Assistant Principal starting the 22-23 school year. Even though I graduated high school from Grissom, I still tell people that I am from Scottsboro first! I was born in Scottsboro and attended both Caldwell and Brownwood until the 2nd grade. My family then moved to Huntsville.

My husband, Greg Russell, and I have two cats named George and Princess. We enjoy playing golf and watching sports!

I followed in the footsteps of my mom (Holly Hurd Davis), my aunt (Wendy Hurd Heitschmidt), and my Granny (Belinda Hurd) into the field of education. My mom and granny taught in Scottsboro City Schools at the Jr. High and High School. I taught math at Butler and Lee High School for 7 years. In my 8th year of education I was a math instructional coach at Lee High School.

I am so excited to be a Scottsboro Wildcat!
