Mrs. Heather, Pre-K Auxiliary Teacher

Hello! My name is Heather Griggs! I am looking forward to a great and exciting year at Nelson Prek. I have worked In the Prek field for several years. I love being a wife, mother, and daughter. My two boys keep me very busy. We are very active in our community as well as in our church. My family and I love to travel and make memories together. Nelson is a great school and I am positive we are going to have a great year with your children!

MY EDUCATION!

I am a graduate of Section High School. After high school, I began cosmetology school and received my cosmetology license. I then married my high school sweetheart and began to work in the field of cosmetology. I also attended Gadsden State Community College and received a certificate in early childhood. I have worked in the headstart program, local church Prek programs, and also First Class Prek program. I became a stay at home mom when we had our children. When my youngest son started school I went back to college and completed my Associates Degree in Salon and Spa Management. I then began teaching at the college level. I love being with small children, they are truly to ones that teach me every day.
