SWAP programmes were developed in 1987 by colleges and universities in the West of Scotland. Every year, ore than 1000 students take the SWAP route back into education. To date, the programme has supported more than 40,000 students to progress to degree study. We are proud of their many achievements. Choose a curriculum area from the list below and have a read about a few of our students who have completed the programme. You can join them in the future!

Sandy completed the SWAP Access to Nursing at Ayrshire College.

Frances first undertook an introduction to experimental science, then completed the SWAP Access to STEM at New College Lanarkshire (Coatbridge).

Chris completed the SWAP Access to Chemistry, Biology and Dietetics (2014-15) at Stow College, followed by HNC Applied Science at Glasgow Kelvin College.
