SWAP programmes were developed in 1987 by colleges and universities in the West of Scotland. Every year, ore than 1000 students take the SWAP route back into education. To date, the programme has supported more than 40,000 students to progress to degree study. We are proud of their many achievements. Alexander "Sandy" Nisbet, BSc Mental Health Nursing from UWS.
Sandy completed the SWAP Access to Nursing at Ayrshire College.
Andrew completed the SWAP Access to Medical Studies at Stow College (now Glasgow Kelvin College).
Dylan Halliday, BSc Mathematics and Professional Education at University of Stirling.
Dylan completed the SWAP Access to STEM at Ayrshire College.
Frances Cunningham, MEng Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Strathclyde
Frances first undertook an introduction to experimental science, then completed the SWAP Access to STEM at New College Lanarkshire (Coatbridge).
Chris Anderson, BSc Paramedic Science at GCU
Chris completed the SWAP Access to Chemistry, Biology and Dietetics (2014-15) at Stow College, followed by HNC Applied Science at Glasgow Kelvin College.
Cheryl-Lee copmleted the SWAP access to Humanities at West College Scotland (WCS).
