Can all ages participate in the Scott S’cool Scoot?

Children and adults of any age may participate in the 3K walk. Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult for both the walk and the run. Children ages 10 and up may participate in the walk or run without adult supervision.

What is the course like?

Both courses will wind through Naper Carriage Hill on asphalt streets, which are closed to traffic and relatively flat. The run and walk will begin on Warwick Drive near Scott School and finish on the grass just west of the school.

Will refreshments be provided?

One water station will be available approximately mid-way through both the run and walk courses, but walkers are encouraged to bring water as well. Post-race snacks will be provided.

Can I bring my dog and my skate board?

Will prizes be awarded?

No prizes will be awarded for the walk. For the 5K run, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be awarded according to the following groups:

Adult Men (age 16 and up)

Adult Women (age 16 and up)

Youth (age 12 - 15)

Children (age 8 - 11)

Why are we running?

Keeping kids healthy and ready to learn means keeping them active. This is why the Scott S’cool Scoot is the perfect event for our community. We want to show our kids that being active is a fun, healthy way to spend time with family and friends. At the same time, the funds we raise will allow us to continue that message throughout the school year.

Over the past several years through events like the Scott S’cool Scoot, Scott Home & School has raised thousands of dollars to help purchase items such as the climbing wall, new playgrounds and a variety of gym equipment. We hope, with your participation and cooperation, that we can continue to keep our kids fit. So, sign up to run or walk and do something healthy for your family and the Scott School community.
