All the information you need to know for the auditioning process can be found on this page. Please read the information carefully so you are best prepared. If you do have any questions that are not answered here, please contact Mr Lucy either in person or by email.
The auditions will be held over numerous sessions consisting of a) Singing b) Acting and c) Dancing. Those students wishing to play a lead role will be required to attend all three sessions. Students wishing to be in the ensemble will be required at both the singing and the dancing auditions and students wishing to only be a member of the dance ensemble will be required at the dance audition only.

Acting Audition:
The acting audition will provide students the opportunity to demonstrate character and technique development. Although not essential, it is highly recommended you learn your audition part as to remove the script from your hand throughout the audition.
Students will be expected to prepare ONE piece from the selection below. Although you will only be required to prepare one character, you may be asked to read the parts of other characters throughout the audition process. Students will perform their auditions in small groups. In the event of a callback, students may be asked to prepare a second piece for the following week.
Singing Audition:
The singing audition will provide students the opportunity to sing in a group as well as demonstrate their solo abilities. Students will be required to learn two songs from the list below. Prepare your songs as best as possible, there is no requirement to learn them. Throughout the audition, you will be coached and supported by our singing teacher, Niki Strauss, to ensure you present to us your best possible performance.
Dance Audition:
The dance audition will take place in the dance studio. There will be no need to prepare anything for the dance audition. Throughout the audition, you will be taken through a warm up and some skills, then taught some simple dance steps. You will be assisted through the whole process. Although we will be featuring skilled dancers in the production, dance experience is NOT needed.

*All auditionees will be eligible for varying roles and will not be excluded from any casting decisions based on your audition song alone.
Singing - Monday 7th March 3.30 - 5.30pm (you will have an allocated time slot and not be required for the whole time)
Acting - Wednesday 9th March 3.30 - 5.30pm (you will have an allocated time slot and not be required for the whole time)
Dancing - Friday 11th March 3.30 - 5.00pm (you will be required the whole time)
*If you have a genuine reason you cannot attend any of the auditions, please let Mr Lucy know in advance. We can work through a solution to ensure you are auditioned and have a fair chance at casting.
