Websites, apps and portals

College website

The College website hosts a range of information, including:

  • Campus details,
  • Curriculum handbooks
  • College calendar
  • Parent handbook
  • Parent Lounge
  • College policies
  • Supporting Scopus

The Scopus Facebook page is also accessible via our website. Please ‘friend’ this page in order to access regular posts of photos and other information from across the College. Please note: in line with cyber safety guidelines we ask that photos are not tagged, nor any names of children in the photo divulged.

The Scopus YouTube channel is linked to the website. It is worthwhile revisiting some recent announcements and Rabbi Kennard's end of term messages which really showcase the energy and diversity of what is on offer at Mount Scopus.

Two of the key tools that are used at Scopus are the Parent Lounge and the Scopus App, which are accessible to parents once their child commences.

Scopus App

Almost all daily information and notices, as well as newsletters are delivered via the Scopus App. As all information is distributed via the Scopus App please take the time to read carefully to ensure that you subscribe to all relevant groups not before January including your child's class tag.

To access the installation guide click here.

For details about groups you will need to subscribe to please click here.

The App also hosts links to a range of other resources and portals for parents that are discussed in this guide, such as CareMonkey as well as providing a convenient link to Parent Lounge.

Parent Lounge

You will be issued with information to access Parent Lounge when your child commences. Parent Lounge is used for a range of purposes, primarily:

  • accessing school academic reports (not relevant whilst at the ELC)
  • sharing your contact details with other parents in your child's year level,
  • accessing 'How To' videos for the portals and apps - NB: you will only be able to access this once you are a current parent.
  • and paying school fees.

CareMonkey

Medical information and excursion consent

The College uses CareMonkey to fulfill its duty of care in medical and consent requirements for excursions and other off-campus activities. This system also provides you as parents with the opportunity to update medical information promptly and accurately.

In the lead up to a student’s first day at kinder or school, parents will receive an invitation from CareMonkey to create a profile for their child, and share it with the College. Once you have created your child's profile, you can also opt to share them with any entity with a duty of care for your child/ren, eg Maccabi.

If you are already a CareMonkey customer through another organisation, you will be notified by the CareMonkey system that the College has joined. If so, adding the College as a trusted user is as simple as clicking on that notice.

SeeSaw

SeeSaw is an online learning journal used at Mount Scopus from Lower Kinder to Year 6.

Seesaw is a simple way for teachers and students to record and share their learning and what's been happening in the classroom.

Parents need to download the Seesaw App via the App Store and then are invited by the class teacher to access their child's journal at the start of the year.

QK Kiosk

QK Kiosk is the digital sign in portal used at the ELCs.

Parents log on using a combination of their mobile phone number and a unique PIN. Initially, QK Kiosk will have a default PIN of 0000. Parents can then create and confirm their individual password. They then select the child (or children) that they are dropping off, select the drop off option and complete the process. On pickup, the process is the same, log in, select the child being picked up and then complete. The drop-off and pick-up date and time (and name of person) is immediately recorded in the system.

The systems allows for up to 6 people to be nominated as approved persons to drop off or collect a child from care;

  • two parents
  • two other persons (Emergency Contacts), who in addition to drop off / pick up approval can be asked to consent to medical treatment if required) plus
  • a further two additional persons (Authorised Nominees) who can drop off / pick up but cannot consent to medical treatment
