Can I have a trial lesson?
Absolutely! Trial lessons can be arranged, subject to tutor availability. It’s a great way to get a feel for the experience before committing.
Can I enrol in the middle of the term?
Yes! Enrolment is open year-round, so your child can jump in and start their musical journey at any time.

Students receive updated timetables regularly from their tutors. For younger students in Primary, tutors will personally collect them from their classrooms to ensure they don’t miss a thing.
I don’t want my child to miss a particular subject.
We understand the importance of all areas of learning. Our rotating timetable avoids regularly missing the same classes each week. Where possible, we’ll work with families to ensure key classes aren’t impacted.
Does the timetable rotate?
Yes! To ensure students don’t consistently miss the same class, lesson times rotate each week.
Do I receive feedback on my child’s progress?
Yes! Tutors maintain weekly diary notes and conduct formal progress interviews every semester to keep you informed and engaged.
What’s the benefit of learning within the school compared to private lessons?
In-school lessons offer convenience for families and give students the chance to be part of a dynamic and supportive musical community.
What happens if there’s a school activity during lesson time?
No problem! Lessons can be postponed or rescheduled to accommodate school events.
How do I hire or purchase an instrument?
Simply reach out to your child’s tutor or our music administrator - we’re happy to help guide you through the process.
Is home practice expected?
Yes, regular practice is encouraged and tailored to your child’s age and experience level. Tutors will provide guidance to help students get the most from their lessons.
Can my child learn more than one instrument?
Absolutely! We can arrange lessons for multiple instruments outside class hours to minimise schedule conflicts.
Can students join ensembles even if they don’t take lessons?
Yes! Our ensembles are open to all students who want to be involved, whether or not they take private lessons.
What if my child wants to stop lessons?
We’re here to support you. Simply contact the music administrator to discuss next steps.
Are there performance opportunities?
Yes -and plenty of them! From school assemblies to performance evenings and community events, students are encouraged to showcase their skills and grow in confidence as performers.
