Information for Production Crew of Mary Poppins Jr.

Running Crew ( 6 members)

Description of job: You will be responsible for moving set pieces during the show. You will set the stage pieces where they need to go and know when/where to move them in specific scenes. You will sweep the stage and help actors if needed.

When will we start meeting and how often will we meet? Running Crew will start meeting at the end of January and will meet multiple times a week until the show (a three week commitment). Once we have the set pieces, the running crew will have to attend all rehearsals to practice their role. The running crew MUST attend all tech week rehearsals and shows.

Costume Crew (3-4)

Description of job: You will be responsible for assisting me with costume adjustments and making headpiece items and other costume accessories. You will get to know actors and their costume details and be able to assist them in getting in and out of costumes with quick changes if necessary. Also, you will help to keep costumes contained in the appropriate place on racks and costume cozies. A willingness to learn how to hem or knowledge of how to hem is a plus, but not necessary. You will be responsible for rolling costume racks back to the closet after rehearsals and performances after all actors have returned their costumes and pieces.

When will we start meeting and how often will we meet? Week of January 16th, three days a week, most likely the same days actors are in attendance.

Prop Crew (3-4)

Description of job: You will be responsible for reading the script and highlighting props needed and noting when and for who. You will get the list approved by Ms. Becker and then search the prop closet for the appropriate props. We will list ones we do not have and we will make the ones needed. I will instruct you on how to make them. You will also be responsible to label the prop table with the props in order so actors and prop crew can find items needed. You will need to be ready to get props to actors either backstage or on stage depending on time limits. You will have to put the props away after rehearsals and performances in organized boxes.

When will we start meeting and how often will we meet? We will meet at the same time as the costume crew the week of January 16th three days a week most likely the same as actors are there.

Lighting Crew (5-6)

Description of job: This crew will be in charge of running lights for the show! Students will learn the different light cues and operate the spot lights.

When will we start meeting and how often will we meet? The end of January when the cast starts running the show.

Sound Crew (4 members)

Description of job: This crew will run sound board, mic-up students, switch packs, setup and strike of equipment.

When will we start meeting and how often will we meet? A week or so before tech week (end of January). We will most likely be there every day there is rehearsal until the show is done.

IMPORTANT DATES (Mandatory)

Tech week Rehearsals will be:

• Monday Feb 6 from 2:50 - 5pm

• Tuesday Feb 7 from 2:50 - 6pm

• Wednesday Feb 8 from 2:50 - 6pm

• Thursday Feb 9 2:50 - 6 pm

Performances will be:

• Friday February 10th at 7pm

• Saturday February 11th at 7 pm

• Sunday February 12th at 1 pm
