About Us

The Clifton Park-Halfmoon Gators program was formed 10 years ago with the idea being to develop a program that gives the ball players in the Shenendehowa school district a competitive place to play summer and fall baseball. The goal was to compete with the area’s top travel teams right from the start. We offer a maximum number of games, practices and tournament games in the Eastern New York Prep Baseball League, formally known as Eastern New York Connie Mack and Mickey Mantle league, along with games in ENYTB and tournaments through PBR NY (Prep Baseball Report). We also offer a winter workout schedule that runs from late January to early March for all age levels and mid-March through April for players not eligible for school baseball.

Players are placed on teams based on prior knowledge of their skill level and through program showcases in August/September. Historically the Gators were made up of teams 15U and higher, but starting in the Fall of 2019, Clifton Park Baseball moved all of its Babe Ruth eligible players to the Gators program. Halfmoon Baseball will do the same starting in the Fall of 2020.

Coaches will be selected by the CPH Board based on baseball experience and aptitude. Previous coaches have come from The Albany Twilight League, Collegiate Players, past Shenendehowa Players, and Alumni from the CPH Program.

The Gators work to have a spot for all levels of play.

For the older teams, the plan is to play a 15+ game season schedule, plus any postseason games/tournaments. The season for these teams runs from the end of High School ball through July and possibly the 1st couple weeks of August. When appropriate, we will enter the teams in Elite Travel and Showcase Tournaments. The 13U/14U teams will start their season in April and will play league games and in tournaments through July/early August. The Gators will utilize the Halfmoon Town Park, Clifton Commons and the Shen Varsity baseball field. The Gators also offer a fall program which consist of the same principles as above.
