Mrs. Buer's Page

Welcome Back!

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year at Scobey Schools! The entire school staff has been preparing and are excited and ready for a new school year.

We would like to welcome our new staff members, Mrs. Raelee Rask- K-12 Counselor, Mrs. Melissa Holum- 7-12 Science, Mrs. BriAnn Heidel- Kindergarten, Mrs. Del Henderson- K-12 PE, and Mrs. Nicole Euken- K-12 Music. Welcome to Scobey Schools!

Please review the Spartan Standards, that can be found on the school website, scobeyschools.com, with your child. If you have any questions about the Spartan Standards, please feel free to contact me or to discuss them with your child’s teacher. It is very important that you and your child are fully informed regarding standards related to appropriate behavior for a safe and productive school year. If you are in need of a paper copy, please contact the office.

Helping our students be successful is a partnership between school and home and we ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she:

1) Attends school daily, arrives on time and ready for the day’s learning experience

2) Completes all homework assignments given by teachers

3) Reads daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills

4) Shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of his/her school life

5) Informs you if he/she needs additional support in any area or subject

6) Knows that you expect him/her to succeed in school

7) Discusses any behavior problems that may arise

Attendance is a very important part of a student’s education. We know that absences are necessary at times so if you are aware that your child will be absent, please inform the office and his or her teacher ahead of time so your child can get their classwork and won’t fall behind. Physically being present in school is one of the most basic conditions for a student’s success – if students are not in school, they are not learning what is being taught and could fall behind. Make sure to review the Attendance section of the Spartan Standards for more information on excused absences and the attendance policy.

As a school community, we are all very proud of our facility and the community we have at Scobey Schools. I hope that we can all show Spartan Pride throughout our school year. Please talk to your child about showing that pride at school, sporting events, and out in the community. I truly believe that if we work together to instill these values in our students now, they will grow up to be productive, responsible citizens.

The Scobey School staff and I are grateful to be a part of this school community. We thank you for your support throughout the year and look forward to a great school year. As always, if you have any questions or concerns throughout the school year, feel free to reach out to me or your child’s teacher.

See you on August 21st!
