Our first Monarch Butterfly!!!
Thursday afternoon, our first chrysallis opened to a beautiful monarch. We'll tag him and send him on his way to migrate to Mexico.........safe travels!!
We tagged our butterfly and released him by our outdoor classroom!

The caterpillars in STREAM are busy eating milkweed and turning into a chrysallis.......soon we'll have beautiful Monarchs that we'll tag with tracking stickers from Monarch Watch and track them as they migrate to Mexico. Check out Monarch Watch at monarchwatch.org .

Some observant 2nd graders spotted a caterpillar becoming a chrysallis right before our eyes!
