The faculty of Science caters to a diverse group of students coming in from all around Sri Lanka with various academic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Thus, adapting to a new learning environment can be a challenge amidst cultural shock alongside managing a challenging workload, and learning to live in a new co-educational residential environment. A significant portion of the student also may not have a clear set of driving goals which hinder them from reaching their fullest potential. The SAAC works towards alleviating these problems by means of an enhances academic advising program to provide support and guidance.
The SAAC huddle is and event for student interactions facilitating opportunities for networking, community interactions, learning and self development. The objective of the huddle is to help student develop better interpersonal relationships, develop soft skills, build on existing knowledge and to promote synergy in a friendly educational environment. This event will help students with leadership, personal branding, entrepreneurship, social exposure, all of which are elements key to thriving in our current corporate environment.
