Curriculum Renewal Process
Year 1
Curriculum Committee (Pre K - 12) is established (for the specific content area undergoing review)
Needs Assessment
Committee will review multiple data points that reflect implementation of the taught curriculum (SAT/ACT, AP scores, MCAS, District Benchmark Assessments) to determine strength and deficit areas.
Curriculum Review
Scope and Sequence (Pre K - 12) will be reviewed for alignment with current Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. Curriculum Maps will be analyzed for alignment with current Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks in the content area. A Single Point Rubric will be used to identify specific areas of Curriculum Maps in need of revision. Maps will be revised. Standards and courses that do not have Maps will be identified and developed.
