Business partners and excellent classroom teachers who wish to provide a unique learning experience for students.
Business leaders and teachers will partner to implement a classroom project. A content-area supervisor will support collaborative planning, implementation of the project, and follow-up reflection between the teacher and business leader.
Three pilot projects were implemented in 2018-2019, and each project was limited in scope with clearly defined outcomes and timelines. The average project took 5 class periods on 5 different school days.
Meeting 1: Co-planning between Teacher, Business Leader, and Supervisor
Meeting 2: Direct Instruction with Students
Meeting 3: Related Activities and Practice for Students
Meeting 4: Student Discourse & Reflection
Meeting 5: Discourse and Reflection for Teacher, Business Leader, and Supervisor
Projects may take place over a longer or shorter period of time. Timelines are very flexible.
