Overview

Our regional blueprint indicates an industry need for students to gain skills in Manufacturing. The manufacturing industry is a vital part of the Pioneer Valley’s economy and is projected to grow significantly in the United States in the coming years. The demand for skilled workers in this industry in Westfield is high, and we want to ensure that our students are prepared to meet this demand. By introducing a designated Innovation Career Pathway in Manufacturing Engineering, we hope to give our students the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in this field.

Our students will be able to learn about the manufacturing process, including design and production. They will also learn about cutting-edge technologies, such as 3D printing, CNC machining, and robotics, and how they are used in the manufacturing industry. Through hands-on projects, shadowing, and opportunities with local manufacturers, our students will gain practical experience and develop the technical and academic skills needed to succeed in this field.
