Teacher Reflection

Hello and welcome to our PS 291 community! 

For the past 23 years, I have had the absolute privilege of teaching and growing alongside our incredible students right here at this school. Throughout my career, I’ve always been passionate about bringing modern technology into the classroom to make learning more dynamic, engaging, and relevant for my students. That passion for blending education with video technology is actually what inspired me to create the Bronx Eagles News Team! 

Watching our students step behind the camera and anchor the news has been an incredible journey, but the best part is seeing how it transforms their academic skills. By researching stories, interviewing peers, and writing scripts for our broadcasts, the members of our news team are significantly boosting their reading and writing skills every single day—all while discovering the power of their own voices.
