We live in a world surrounded by technology. And we know that whatever field our students choose to go into as adults, their ability to succeed will increasingly depend on understanding how technology works.
But only a fraction of us are learning how technology works. Only 51% of all high schools offer computer science, even though computer science
That’s why our entire school is joining in on the largest learning event in history: The Hour of Code, during Computer Science Education Week (December 4-10). More than 100 million students worldwide have already tried an Hour of Code.
Our Hour of Code will consist of introducing our students to multifaceted computer science experiences that ignite their creativity while engaging them in foundational computer programming skills in a fun and collaborative environment.
To support our effort, we are asking families to encourage computer science pursuits beyond our Hour of Code event by exploring the resources provided through this site.
