PAR stands for Participatory Action Research;

 research that takes place with communities, for communities, by communities, with the goal of action, or change, always in mind. PAR that happens in schools rejects traditional models of schooling and research where there are hierarchies between students and teachers, research subjects and researchers. Through our Senior PAR Space, students will be responsible for driving their own research and policy agendas about issues that impact themselves and their community. The course will be structured around three pillars: storytelling and history, collecting data on a problem in your community, and action: creating change and addressing the problems we see in our school, communities, and world.
