We are studying Food webs in the greenhouse
You will work alone or with a partner to make brochure to teach visitors about how to identify the pests and predators in the greenhouse.Â
Check to make sure you have included everything for your brochure:
1) Have you explained what predator/prey are?
2) Have you written one fact about spider mites?
3) Have you written one fact about aphids?
4) Have you written a fact about californicus?
5) Have you written one fact about parasitic wasps?
6) Have you explained what producers and consumers are?

We noticed that there are aphids, so we put out ladybugs and parasitic wasps.
The parasitic wasps and ladybugs are the predators, and the aphids are the prey.
We often put out lacewings, parasitic wasps and ladybugs for the aphids
When we have other pests, we put out cucumeris for the thrips, and californicus or persimilis for the spider mites
The plants are the producers, and the aphids, spider mites, whiteflies, encarsia, parasitic wasps, ladybugs are all consumers
The primary consumers eat the plants (aphids, whiteflies, and spider mites)
The secondary consumers eat the primary consumers (parasitic wasps, ladybugs, persimilis, californicus, and encarsia)
The decomposers eat the dead and decaying matter and returnt the nutrients to the soil. In the greenhouse we have Red Wiggler Worms.

June 12, 2019 update from CNN: America's renewable energy sector reached a big milestone earlier this spring. For the first time the sector -- which includes solar, water, wind and geothermal steam -- had slightly more energy generating capacity than coal. Renewable energy sources also generated more electricity than coal in April, although that achievement was partially driven by seasonal issues. The milestones reflect the declining costs of solar and wind as well as continued environmental concerns about coal. The US is also cutting back on its use of coal. Since peaking in 2008, the nation's coal consumption has plummeted 39% to the lowest level in 40 years.Â

Your group must complete a step by step list of instructions for making a windowfarm by the end of the week. Everyone must help.
