Having been a part of this school community since its opening in 2009, this opportunity is especially meaningful to me.  Having watched PS 682 grow since its opening in 2009, I am proud of the ways our community has always nurtured students as thinkers, leaders, collaborators, and problem-solvers.  

As Principal, I look forward to building on that legacy and ensuring that every student graduates embodying the qualities outlined in the Portrait of a Graduate: curiosity, critical thinking, effective communication, civic engagement, and a commitment to lifelong learning.

My journey at PS 682 began as a classroom teacher when the school first opened its doors.  Over the years, I have had the privilege of serving our community in several roles, including classroom teacher, ASD NEST and instructional coach, and most recently, Assistant Principal.  Each of these experiences has shaped my understanding of our school's mission, values, and traditions while deepening my commitment to ensuring that every student receives a high-quality education in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Throughout my career, I have been guided by a belief in the limitless potential of every child and the power of strong relationships.  I have dedicated myself to supporting student achievement, fostering positive school culture, and partnering with families and educators to create learning experiences that inspire growth, curiosity, and confidence.  As Principal, I am excited to continue this work alongside all of you.

While PS 682 already feels like home to me, I recognize that stepping into this new role presents an important opportunity to listen, learn, and strengthen relationships across our school community. My first priority will be to engage with students, families, and staff to better understand your experiences, celebrate our successes, and identify ways we can continue to grow together.

In the upcoming month, I plan to meet with teachers, support staff, and school leaders to gain insight into their experiences, strengths, and aspirations for our school, this will include individual one-on-one meetings with staff members, family representatives, and key stakeholders to ensure that every voice is heard, valued, and included in shaping our collective future.  I will host opportunities for families to connect with me, share their perspectives, and discuss their hopes for their children's educational journey.  I also look forward to spending time in classrooms and throughout the school getting to know our students, observing learning, and celebrating the unique talents and contributions they bring to our community.

In addition, I plan to review school programs, practices, and student outcomes to deepen my understanding of our successes and further develop opportunities for student growth through targeted instruction to meet the needs of each student.   I firmly believe that strong schools are built through trust, collaboration, and open communication. Together, we will continue to foster a school environment where every student feels safe, supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their fullest potential.

I am excited for this next chapter and grateful for the opportunity to continue serving a community that has meant so much to me for the past 17 years. I look forward to connecting with each of you and working together to ensure that PS 682 continues to thrive.

The following forms Must be Completely Filled Out and Returned to School Tomorrow:

1. Family Income Inquiry Form - NYCPS requires that one form Must be completed Online:https://www.myschoolapps.com/. 

Every family is required to complete this form regardless if your child does not participate in the School Food Lunch Program. 

Please be sure to print your confirmation receipt.  Great News- As per School Food , ALL STUDENTS FOR THE YEAR 2026 - 2027 WILL EAT FOR FREE!

2. Consent for Video / Photography Form 

3. Permission Slip for Walking Field Trips

4. Emergency Blue Cards - you must complete ALL THREE Blue Cards (except Kindergarten if you already completed)

5. Complete and Return Dietary Restriction/Allergy Form

6. Sign the Attendance Letter and return to your teacher.

🍀 September 1st, 2nd & 3rd, 2026: School Supply Drop Off Day & Complete your Family Income Inquiry Form Online https://www.myschoolapps.com/Home/PickDistrict 

9:00 AM - 2:00 PM School Supply Drop Off Day in the Main Lobby.  Please be sure to Clearly Label Each Bag / Box with your child's Full Name and Grade.

If you ordered a School Supply Kit from 1st Day School Supplies, your kit will be delivered to your child's classroom for the 1st Day of School.

Important reminder

Please make sure your children MUST have proper footwear to participate in all school activities.

Crocs are unsafe in school as students participate in gym, recess and using multiple stairs daily.

VISITOR POLICY

Please note that all visitors of the campus school must follow proper protocols when visiting the building regardless of the reason or duration of the visit. 

VISITOR POLICY

For the safety of our school community, all visitors must have photo identification to enter our building and must sign in with our school’s Safety Agent to properly sign in – NO EXCEPTIONS.

• All visitors must receive a visitor’s pass, which must be returned upon exiting the building. 

• All visitors must report to the Main Office located on the second floor in room 214.
