• Phonics and Phonemic Awareness – Heggerty and Fundations (Kindergarten to 2nd Grade)

Homework

Students are required to independently read each night along with their homework daily. Minimum daily independent reading times are as followed:

• Kindergarten – 10 minutes

• 1st Grade – 15 minutes

• 2nd Grade – 20 minutes

• 3rd to 5th Grade – 30 minutes

We encourage you to take your child to your local library and sign up for a library card.

Your child’s classroom teacher will provide your child with a username and password to log into Teachhub to access various online platforms. Also, your child will be provided with an i-Ready log in card or username and password to access i-Ready at home.

There may be occasions throughout the school year that your child will need to access their homework or enrichment activities through Teachhub. If a device is needed, please contact the school. Supply of devices for home use are limited.

Sign into your New York City Student Account (NYCSA) to see your child’s recent state test scores, attendance records, and grades.- https://mystudent.nyc/  (To set up an account you will need your child’s Student ID number, which you can find on his or her report card, as well as an Account Creation Code, which your school will supply. You can also open an account by visiting your school. You will need a photo ID such as a driver’s license or passport.)
