Welcome to Chapter 683! Our theme this summer is "Summer in New York." This is not to imply that the theme is all about New York. Instead, it is about having a fun, productive summer right where we are...in New York. There is a different sub-theme each week, based on suggestions and ideas submitted by staff members in the survey.
There is a different curriculum map for each grade band/population. Be sure to find the correct one for your class.
If Chapter 683 goes half as quickly as the school year, it will be over in no time!
Those of you who are joining us just for the summer can find out more information about P811Q: who we are, resources, etc., here and in our Google Classroom. If you have not yet been added to the Google Classroom, please email Bonnie Glass at bglass2@schools.nyc.gov.
This website, curriculum maps, and shared resources are intended to be a guide. As much as we would like to provide lessons that are ready for each class to implement, we all know that is not possible. Please use these resources as appropriate for your class. Please adapt them as necessary.
Remember to look at the students' IEP goals/SANDI items they are working on, and incorporate those specific goals into your lessons.
We hope you enjoy this summer's theme & resources! Here's to a fun summer!
NOTE: If you find any errors, need any additional forms or information that is not on the website, please let Bonnie Glass know. You can usually find her in Room 124 at the Main Site or email her at BGlass2@schools.nyc.gov.
