National Theatre Collection Filmed Theatre Initiative
The NYCDOE Theater Program in partnership with National Theatre of Great Britain & Bloomsbury Publishing proudly announces FREE ACCESS to dynamic filmed theatre productions for 30,000 New York City public school students and their teachers for three years directly from their own devices!
These innovative, diverse productions from our National Theatre Collection Filmed Theatre Initiative provide windows and mirrors--safely and at times provocatively welcoming our students to experience stories from other cultures and time periods as well as reflecting on their own communities and realities. Access to the program includes free quality educational resources for teachers and students including dynamic lesson plans created by peers, NT study guides with director notes and socio-cultural historical context, and ongoing support from our NYC Arts Office on using this resource in your classroom.Â
This is a quick overview of the productions available to you, noting appropriate age ranges, topic, period, and cultural connections.
