Borrowing Books
Students may borrow up to four library books at a time and keep them for two weeks. Materials may be renewed unless another reader has requested them. Students are responsible for getting materials back on time.
Students may borrow materials during morning and afternoon homeroom, or throughout the day provided they come with a pass from their teacher.
Losing Books
Students who lose books can either pay for the lost book, or help out in the library to make up for it. Students ARE required to tell the librarian that a book is lost within a reasonable amount of time, so the librarian can order a replacement.
Visiting the Library
Students must have a pass to visit the library. They must sign in when they arrive. When the library is full, additional students will not be admitted even if they have a pass.
Junior Librarians
Students are invited to be a Junior Librarian if they would like to help out in the library. Talk to the librarian if you want to be a part of it!
Behavior
Appropriate behavior is required at all times in the library. Students who are too loud, or who disrupt or disturb others will be asked to leave.
Technology
Desktops and laptops are available in the library for school work, research, and approved creative work. Printing and copying is limited. Please try printing in your homeroom before trying printing in the library.
Students can play only educational games on the computers, (no to Cool Math Games) and only if they are not disturbing other students while playing the games.
When many students want to use the computers, the rule is "first come, first serve." Students working on school assignments have priority.
Students must respect the Acceptable Internet Use Policy. Violators will lose the privilege of using computers. Any student intentionally damaging computers, furniture or materials will be barred.
