Welcome to my Google Site. My name is Mrs. Panico, and I am a teacher at the Richmond Hill High School in New York City. I started teaching in 2003. Throughout the years, I taught first, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grade. I currently hold a professional certificate as a Library Media Specialist, a professional literacy certificate, and a permanent teacher certificate for pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and grades one through six. The New York City Department of Education awarded me a certificate for being a highly qualified teacher of English Language Arts at the middle school level. I also completed 30 credits above my masters' degrees. I have a love for learning and teaching. My goal as a teacher is to instill a love of learning in my students so that they too can be lifelong learners.
My role as teacher continues beyond 3:00... I am a proud mom of two amazing children. My husband, Michael, and I adopted our loving daughter Kiara the night she was born. Seven months later, I gave birth to our son, Christopher. They bring so much joy to our lives. My goal is to use my experiences as a parent and a teacher to support both my children and my students. "Parents create the environments and experiences in which learning happens, which makes them the first teachers their children will ever have. " ~Dr. Rebecca Palacios
