UNIT 1: THE HORROR GENRE

Why do we sometimes like to be frightened? In our first learning module, students will explore this question by engaging with the horror genre and examining the timeless human desire to read and write scary stories. We will be reading the frightening tales of some of the great macabre craftsmen, including Edgar Allan Poe, Stephen King, Neil Gaiman and W.W. Jacobs. The unit will culminate with the students writing their own horror stories--hopefully they are not too scary for their teacher.

En nuestro primer módulo de aprendizaje, los estudiantes explorarán esta pregunta al involucrarse con el género de terror y examinar el eterno deseo humano de leer y escribir historias de miedo.
