Developing research questions is another important step in the research process. By creating a clearly focused research question, you should have an easier time finding the answers.
Use your brainstorming activity to develop and refine your research question(s). You can also think about the five W and one H questions to help guide your thinking.
Question Sample Questions
Who? Who do I want to research? Who was involved in the event? Who was responsible?
What? What happened? What were the causes and effects? What was the outcome? What was discovered? What was the response?
When? When did the event occur? When was the problem solved?
Where? Where did the event happen? Where was the problem solved?
Why? Why was this person involved? Why did this event occur? Why were people angry? interested? happy? Why was the event or person important?
How? How was the problem resolved? How was the community changed as a result of this event?
