Newspapers Database
Use this database to find historical newspaper articles from around the country. Don't forget to use limiters to do better searching!
Go to the JSTOR homepage and search a topic, you can click on any article link that comes up and you get a prompt for Alternate Access Options. When you click on that, you can create a personal account--access to up to 100 articles/month. This database is particularly useful for highly academic articles.
PBS Learning Media: US History
Amazing resource! Archive of video clips from various PBS specials. You can search the menu for various time periods and topics. Excellent resources on Cold War, Vietnam, Civil Rights, Women's rights, and much more.
New York Historical Society Digital Curriculum Library
This is an incredible resource for teachers and students. It provides access to digital versions of New York Historical Society curriculum that have accompanied all their exhibits over the years.
