Acids and Bases
Acids and bases have a complementary relationship: acids give away H+ ions (protons) and bases take H+ ions (protons).
This causes acids and bases to have very predictable reactions with one another.
This lets us determine an unknown concentration of a base or acid using a laboratory technique called a titration.
Navigate to the Neutralization Reactions section to start to learn how we can do this.
