Researching figures of Latin American folklore was a fascinating journey into a world full of culture and mystery. I was especially interested in the story of El Cuco, a shape-shifting monster used to scare children into behaving. It reminded me a lot of a very similar figure in English folklore called the boogeyman, which I learned about a lot when I was growing up. Each legend I found was unique, showing the different traditions and beliefs of various regions. It was amazing to see how these tales have been passed down through generations, changing a bit but keeping their main ideas. The mix of history, myth, and superstition made the research feel very engaging and rewarding. Overall, it was an eye-opening experience that made me appreciate the rich folklore of Latin America even more.
