The next piece of this project is converting your construction group presentation into a webpage that will represent your group, as well as give background information on ANY science topic related to forces and motion as we have studied.
The next piece of this project is converting your construction group presentation into a webpage that will represent your group, as well as give background information on ANY science topic related to forces and motion as we have studied.
Task: You will EACH design and build your OWN google site. If you follow the directions below, your site will have a minimum of 4 pages/subpages, and include at least 5 pictures.
Each site must include the following:
ONE planning page in your notebook that includes your site flow map and any notes you want to remember (5pts)
ONE homepage that briefly introduces the engineering construction project. (10pts)
ONE page introducing the whole team. (10pts)
ONE page showing the finished project with one or two highlights. (the engineering feature and cat feature from your presentation) (10pts)
ONE research page. The research page can be on any science topic related to forces and motion that you want to learn more about. Think outside the box eg; how tires are made to withstand forces, how space ship survive reentering the atmosphere, how rail guns operate, how the biggest planes in the world are able to fly, how kitchen knife blades are designed to cut best, how the James Webb telescope uses sound to cool itself, etc, etc, etc. There are many possibilities. The research topic should be clear, and able to teach what you learned to a 4th grader.
Within this page you must:
Give a basic summary of what you are sharing. (5pts)
Detail 3 specific facts/important pieces about your topic and how they relate to our science (30pts)
Include at least 2 pictures. (5pts)
Use AT LEAST 3 of the following words in your work: Inertia, Friction, Mass, Acceleration, Force, Balanced forces, Kinetic energy, Potential energy, Law Conservation of energy, Speed, Momentum, Newtons 1st Law, Newtons 2nd Law, Newtons 3rd Law. (30pts)
MUST BE ACCESSIBLE (5pts)
To begin go to sites.google.com and pick a template. You may use any that are there and can delete materials from one if you do not need them.
