The Dance Department at Creators Academy offers a comprehensive dance education that blends technical skills, contextual understanding, and artistic expression. Students gain practical experience in kinesthetic, cognitive, and collaborative aspects of dance through a curriculum that includes technical training, improvisation, history, performance skills, collaboration, repertory, and choreography. This holistic approach prepares students for advanced dance programs, career opportunities, and both concert and commercial performances.

In this course, students will explore dance choreography and performance through a mix of creative exploration and practical application. Each marking period in the fall and spring semesters will focus on developing original dance pieces across various genres, with guidance from Ms. Castillo.
The Annual Winter Showcase features two of these choreographed pieces, offering a platform to display students' creativity, while the Spring Dance Concert will showcase the remaining works created throughout the year, culminating in a comprehensive presentation of their efforts.
