Each of these online tools have aided me through Remote , Blended and Classroom dissemination of information.
I have been able to "collect and display student data" and "identify patterns" of student progression/regression and social emotional ladders.
They all have their Pro's and Con's. But used collectively, it is a game changer!
The top 4 Online Tools for 2020-2021 School Year
Pear deck gives me the ability to use an existing slide show or create my own from scratch.
Each slide has the ability for student response, polls or drawing.
This is my favorite "go-to" tool. The students are super engaged and data is collected easily afterwards.
#1 Pear Deck
#2 Padlet
Padlet is awesome too. I love when I can post a topic and have students in real time write their response.
They also have the ability to audio or video record their response. It is an amazing tool with so many possibilities to record student responses.
EDPuzzle is a great tool for showing videos. Long gone are the days you just show a video and then ask for feedback. The student have the option to do it live or remote.
You find a video on Youtube (or other sites) and add multiple choice questions or open ended questions to the video. This is directly connected to your Google Classroom.
The multiple choice questions are automatically marked, but the open ended answers have to be graded. The process is simple and easy to learn. It is a great way to show videos. I like to give these assignments for homework.
#3 EdPuzzle
#4 Kahoot
Kahoot is every students favorite program. I had to upgrade to the EDU version which cost about $12 a month. The free version is just fine.
I payed for the extra features that you may want to use. Normally this a quiz game. It is great for reviewing work.
The extra features allow open ended questions and brainstorming ideas that student can vote on. I like to use this program on Fridays or as a treat.
The cousin to this program is called Blooket.com Blooket is fun too. They are very similar and you may want to switch it up every now an again!
