Queens Public Library Resources
To obtain a Queens Public Library card, visit a local branch near you or apply for an eCard online.
Queens Public Library has a wide range of online and in-person resources and activities to keep students engaged and reading all summer long!
Culture Pass is a program that allows library cardholders ages 13 and up to reserve passes and obtain free admission to over 80 of our local cultural institutions.
*eCardholders are not able to reserve passes. You must have a valid physical library card to reserve online.
Brainfuse HelpNow provides free live online tutoring to support students with homework help and studying in all subject areas. Users will need to login with their Queens Public Library card number and PIN.
Please find their availability on their homepage.
Resources for Research
Our P.S. 229Q personalized Gale resource page provides free access to relevant online databases through NOVELny.
Developed by the New York State Library, NOVELny provides ALL New Yorkers with online access to thousands of sources. Feel free to share this resource with your family.
*For students and teachers, I highly recommend using Gale in Context: Elementary.
No username or password is necessary as long as you are in New York State. Access is authenticated with your geolocation.
In addition to exploring our school library's book collection, Destiny Discover also provides access to databases that we can use for research.

If there is anything I can help with, please feel free to contact me at any time at bcheng3@schools.nyc.gov or through Remind.
