Please note that Castle Hill Library Branch is currently closed for a complete renovation, including new furnishings, replacement of the HVAC system, upgraded technology, and more. The New York Public Library anticipates the branch will reopen in the late fall of 2027. During the renovation process, we encourage patrons to use nearby branches (links below).

Parkchester LibraryWe offer books for all ages, as well as DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks. In addition, we have materials in various languages including English, Spanish, Bengali, French, Chinese, Urdu, and Hindi. We also offer English classes for speakers of other languages as well as a TechConnect computer lab, with classes taught in English, and select classes in Spanish and Bengali.

Soundview LibraryThe Soundview Branch of The New York Public Library is a bright, airy, one-story, marble building located on Soundview Avenue near Seward Avenue. The branch houses adult, young adult, and children's books, a small Spanish-language collection, and a non-print collection of videos, CDs, CD-ROMs, language tapes, and books on tape available for borrowing. A meeting room is available for community group use.

Westchester Square LibraryThe Westchester Square Branch of The New York Public Library, which began serving the public in 1937, moved to its present quarters on Glebe Avenue in 1956. The first floor houses the adult, young adult, and reference collections. The children's room is located on the second floor.
