Are you looking for the nostalgic feeling of eating breakfast in a vintage American diner? Then I have the perfect place for you. Open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week the Original Golden Eagle Diner located on Bath Road in Bristol PA is a perfect mix of vintage and modern American styles giving you that feeling of nostalgia. Since the owner Huseyin Gunaydin opened its doors in 1984 the diner has served delicious traditional diner meals sure to leave you satisfied.
Entering the Original Golden Eagle Diner the classic decor and cozy atmosphere instantly made me feel at home. The diner was filled with many vintage aspects, including classic booths and tables, checkered floors, bakery displays, neon signs and at one point the diner even had tabletop jukeboxes. Although the restaurant has decided to adopt some more modern features throughout the years I don't think it could ever lose its vintage charm.
The service at the Original Golden Eagle Diner was diligent and friendly. The staff played a big part in making my diner experience so unique and unforgettable. The staff was very engaging and being greeted with warm smiles and friendly personalities I felt very welcome and comfortable. On a Saturday morning there was no wait to get seated, and the waiter was very patient with us to make our decisions.
The menu was full of diner classics ranging from breakfast to dinner that can be ordered at any time of the day. The menu had many traditional breakfast options such as eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, french toast, breakfast sandwiches, and a variety of drinks including hot tea, coffee, and juices.
The Original Golden Eagle Diner is known for its delicious savory food. It was so hard to make the decision, but I decided to get a breakfast sandwich, specifically I got a plain bagel with turkey bacon, egg, and American cheese. My party also ordered some pancakes, french toast and eggs. We were not waiting long before our food came out and my mouth was already watering. The food looked amazing, the presentation was awesome and the taste was even better. I was able to try a little bit of the pancakes and french toast and they were very fluffy and tasty.
Overall I give the Original Golden Eagle Diner a 9/10, I really enjoyed my experience there and know that I will definitely return when I am in the mood for a nostalgic breakfast again.
