Reading Month is off to a great start! We kicked it off March 1st with a schoolwide BOOK PARADE! Keep your eyes on our Reading Month calendar for more special days to celebrate reading.

Please check out our schoolwide Reading Month Calendar for events and activities to celebrate reading this month. Your child's teacher may have other events planned as well. They will communicate those via their regular means of communication.

We hope you join us in celebrating by finding ways to enjoy reading together at home too!

Orientation

The Early Childhood Team welcomes the parents/guardians of incoming Kindergarten and Young 5s students to join us for orientation.

April 4th at 5:30 P.M.

Hope College football player Derik Smith will be our special speaker. Derik plays football with a prosthetic leg and was featured on a CBS Athletes of Courage telecast this past fall.

Safety Concern

Shoes with wheels are not permitted during school hours for safety reasons and per our student handbook policy. Thanks for ensuring your child wears shoes without wheels in them in the school building. If your child has a pair of shoes (such as Heelys) with wheels in them, the wheels need to be removed during the school day.

Pre-K Registration is OPEN!

We are currently registering students for our 2024-2025 Pre-K school year!

For the 2024-2025 school year, children must be four years old by September 1st, 2024. Children who have birthdays between September 2nd-December 1st, 2024 may be accepted if there is room. The sooner you register, the better! . Our program is four full days Monday-Thursday and a half day on Fridays, located in the Schoolcraft Elementary School!

Please complete this Google Form if you would like to place your child on our Pre-K Registration list.

To finish your registration you need to go to www.dreambigstartsmall.org to complete the Pre-K county wide application. Once the applications are processed we will be in contact with you for follow up.
