Graffiti & Art with a Message
Students will be studying works of graffiti through the ages, and analyzing its meaning a purpose. Students will also be creating their own "Graffiti Tag", and working as a group to add art with a message to our school building .
December 4th - January 8th
Pop Art Movement & Andy Warhol
Pop Art Movement & Andy Warhol
Students will be studying works for the pop art movement, especially the works of Andy Warhol. Students will also be creating a pop art work of their own in class.

Research and Analysis of Edvard Munch
Research and Analysis of Edvard Munch
Students will be studying Edvard Munch and his works. Students will be analyzing his works of art as well as doing research on who Edvard Munch was and his influences.

WALKER ART CENTER EXPERIENCE
WALKER ART CENTER EXPERIENCE
The middle school will be doing field work in the twin cities this upcoming month (March 26th). As a part of this fieldwork they will be visiting the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis. Below is a video to help your student prepare for this experience. They may also visit the walkers website to see what is in store. (walkerart.org)
